The Paul Harris Fellow Award, established in 1957 and named in honour of Rotary founder Paul Harris, is one of Rotary’s most distinguished honours. It recognizes individuals who exemplify Rotary’s core values and its motto, “Service Above Self,” through their outstanding commitment to service, generosity, and leadership.

The Rotary Club of Windsor was delighted to celebrate two individuals who truly embody these values. We proudly recognized Joanna Gould-Thorpe as our newest Paul Harris Fellow and Ashley Wood as our newest Community Paul Harris Fellow.

We extend our heartfelt congratulations and sincere thanks to Joanna and Ashley for their dedication, generosity, and continued contributions to our community. Their commitment to making a difference is an inspiration, and we hope they will continue their outstanding work for many years to come.

Di Best presents incoming President Jason Trider with flags gifted by Rotary Clubs in the Netherlands

Global friendships, cultural connection, and life‑changing experiences — that’s what the Rotary Friendship Exchange is all about. Rotarian and club secretary Di’s recent trip to the Netherlands was unforgettable, and the Rotary Club of Windsor was thrilled to hear all about her experiences.

The Rotary Club of Windsor presented a cheque for $10,960 to the school Principals of West Hants in support of their annual Food for Thought Campaign, school breakfast and lunch program. These funds were raised through ticket sales conducted in local schools, with significant contributions from Windsor Pharmasave and West Nova Fuels. The Rotary Club of Windsor led the fundraising effort, providing a substantial additional contribution and covering the program’s operating expenses.

Toll Road Food Bank Drive 2025

The Windsor Rotary Club and community partners proudly presented Matthew 25 Windsor & District Food Bank with a cheque for $16,900. This contribution reflects the success of the Club’s annual toll-road food bank drive, held on October 25th in collaboration with the Windsor Fire Department and many dedicated volunteers. With a substantial top-up donation from the Windsor Rotary Club, this year marks another record-setting achievement in support of our local food bank.
