Directions to Camp Mockingee (PDF)

 
 
 
 

(All the distances noted below are approximations.)

Highway 101 from the Annapolis Valley or Halifax:
A) Take Exit 5
B) At the end of the exit road turn toward Windsor (Route 14)
C) Travel about 1 kilometer
D) Angle right onto Highway 1 toward Windsor (The Irving Station will be on your left.)
E) Travel approximately 1.8 kilometers toward Windsor (on combined Highway 1 and Route 14)
F) Turn left at Atlantic Radiator (You are continuing on Route 14.)
G) Travel west on Route 14 for 18.8 km until you reach the Lakeside Store and Irving Station. (You will pass the Ski Martock sign on your left   at about 6.8 kilometers.)
H) Continue straight on Route 14 for 3 more kilometers (You will see the Camp Mockingee sign on your right.)
I) Turn right onto Smeltzer's Road at the Camp Mockingee sign
J)  Stop at the Stop sign (The paved road ends here.)
K) Continue straight, cross the bridge, and bear right as you travel up the hill.
L) As you crest the hill you will see the lake and some of the camp buildings ahead.
M) Turn right into the parking lot (The parking lot is 1 km from Highway 14.)
N) Congratulations! You have arrived at Camp Mockingee.


Highway 103 from Halifax or the South Shore
A) Take Exit 8
B) Travel on Route 14 toward Windsor approximately 28 kilometers  (At approximately 22.4 km you will see a sign indicating that you are entering Hants County.)
C) At 28.5 kilometers turn left onto Smeltzer's Road at the Camp Mockingee Sig  (The Camp Mockingee sign will be visible at your left.)
D) Stop at the Stop sign (The paved road ends here.)
E) Continue straight, cross the bridge, and bear right as you travel up the hill.
F) As you crest the hill you will see the lake and some of the camp buildings ahead.
G) Turn right into the parking lot (The parking lot is 1 km from Highway 14.)
H) Congratulations! You have arrived at Camp Mockingee.
