Supervised swimming was another activity aided and encouraged by the Rotary Club. The need for a modern and regulation swimming pool in Windsor had long been felt, and in the early nineteen-sixties the project was launched by a group of citizens, several of whom were Rotarians. The Club gave the undertaking impetus by a pledge of $10,000, which was honored in due course. In 1967, the pool became a Centennial project, was carried forward to completion, and handed over to the Corporation of the Town of Windsor  for operation.
